Best Abstract Award & scientific talk about my PhD project entitled “Adaptive Traits in HMA versus LMA sponge holobionts under Ocean Acidification”. The workshop took place at the Observatorio Marino de Cambio Climático – Punta de Fuencaliente (OMaCC; La Palma, Canary Islands) and aimed at discussing best practices of environmental characterization in natural CO2 vents and included dives to recently discovered vent sites.

This course was related to microbial communication and included sessions about chemical ecology, natural product research and environment. I participated in a mass spectrometry workshop during this conference.

This conference showcased recent developments in marine biology and ecology; state-of-the-art technologies available at marine stations and institutes; how to access biological resources and marine research infrastructure; how to improve services provided by marine stations; and, the impact of the services provided on industry and society.

The course was focused on the specific Data FAIRness phase in the Environmental and Earth sciences, containing different modules of Data Management. This Winter School was organised by the ENVRI-FAIR project in collaboration with the LIFEWATCH ERIC infrastructure.
